    A Used Heer M43 Cap

    Gent's

This one came in a few days ago and I thought I would show it.

It has certainly been worn but is still in good solid condition. The insignia is factory machine sewn. The rayon lining is well marked with a RB# (some of which is missing but is all there),size and what looks to be E44.

    Hope you like it.

NICE! those are the biggest makers marks I ever saw on a cap. they jump right out at you. Glenn, dont you need to sell off one of your many M43's to buy gifts this season? I could help you out by taking one. Glenn

Definitely a keeper Glenn, and neat to see the late version trap. I have a question if you will. I have noticed that most of the late war examples like yours and others posted by other members have the date of manufacture printed on the crown of the lining while earlier or mid war examples (like my own M43) do not have this feature. Is this an accepted fact when viewing late war caps?

                        Thanks very much,

Not sure exactly what the last number is Francis (it is very faded),but it does look like 0118.

                        Will,

I have seen a few earlier M43's (dated 43) with similar markings.
