    Deschler & Sohn EK1 owners/experts look here!

I have been approached to purchase this cross. Just trying to validate this ek1 marked 1. So please look and tell me if this looks anything like your Deschler & Sohn EK.

    Thanks!

The number worries me. Do some of you have this similarity?

      Hey Tex,

I saw this one too. I think the pin looks OK, but the number is just slightly different than what I have seen. And, it is a little rough on the obverse.

      What do you think George??

                Jim,

I included better photos from the seller. The 1 looks a little better. I am such a newbie to collecting. Are there variants in the 1 stamps?

Although tomorrow my Detlev EK1 comes in!

                  Hey Tex,

George is the real expert here, but I'm inclined to go out on a limb and say it's good. I can't see where the same #1 punch would be used at every table where these were put together.

Just my taste, but I would pass based on condition unless he's making you a good deal. Might be a good restoration project.

Here is a clear shot of the back. This pic makes the 1 look better!

Again any thoughts from anyone is appreciated!

Don't quite know if it is relevant to the topic, but here is my KVK1 marked 1.
                        Same pin and 1.

I cant see any wrong whit that EK. Here is some other ways to tell a maker nr 1. high silver content most off them gets black, and they have a low swaz.
Here is my nr 1, a bigger maker nr but the same.
