Hello,
I visited the IWM London during the week and thought that I would share these pictures that I took of Hans Lammer's white cap & tunic that is currently on display there.

I have also seen these at the IWM, they are on loan from the "Owner/Liberator", in truth, the photo's don't do the pieces justice unfortunately as they are behind glass. When viewed in real time, they are far more spectacular

Also me was in the IWM last year and I tooked some more good photos of the hat.
In some you can see the sweatband and even the RZM stamp in the visor.
The hat seems to be original in my eyes ,but I'm not so expert in SS visors.

you can see the back of the sweatband,the lining is not visible due a black woodden support
there are stains in the sb and it has a moderate use

you can recognize the black RZM stamp in the visor and the vents holes in the sweatband

I don't know but the undercarriage sure looks spot on to me. I'd say thats one good cap!

I wonder if the insignia was once removed(at the end of the war?), and has been replaced with fake stuff?
