    EKI L/54 - Schauerte & Hohfeld

    Hi all!

Here is my first Iron Cross. It´s a L/54 - Schauerte & Hohfeld from Lüdensched.

I looked for another thread about this maker and found a polemic discussion about the mark and the maker. Retangular box or curved retangular box, the mine is just the second.

Well, now I'm worried about this question and come here to share this problem. Original or Fake, that´s the question!

    The pictures:

    I apreciate any help!

    Best Regards,

    Eduardo.

Congrats on your first EK1. The mark and EK1 look good to me, too. You can compare the maker mark to the two examples shown on the EK1 page of this site.

100% real. The curved logo, and the hardware on the back are textbook for this maker.

          Looks nice!

I have a question on this maker; do we know which mark came first, the rectangular or curved one?

The other thing I am curious about is the catch here looks very thin and thinner than mine. Is this the PIC, or attributed to wear?

          Thanks,
          Tim
