    Luftwaffe Flieger Kleidersack

Right folks I have a bit of a weakness for these bags and for those you dont know what I am talking about here goes with a quick summary.

The first 37 pattern was the same as the 38 type but did not have the 3 zip covers and had webbing straps. This was amended around 6 months later to have the leather straps. Inside are are set of coathanger loops.
In 1938 the cloths strips covering the zips were added.
The 41 pattern just has the one large zip and the straight flap at the top with the two leather fittings but no coathanger loops.
The tropical bags are similar to the 41 pattern and have either a sand, blue or red colour lining. They also made a blue tropical with the same colour linings.

I have yet to find any of the 37 pattern bags but this is what I do have.

    4. 41 pattern bag. Rapid zip, unmarked press studs, black leather fittings. RB 0/0156/0030

    5. 41 pattern bag. Rapid zip, unmarked press studs, black leather fittings. RB 0/0156/0030

    6. 41 tropical bag. Webbing straps marked LUX. RB 0/0676/0039. Named to Ogfr Langhorst.

Does anyone have either of the 37 pattern bags to show or the blue tropical version? Would also like to see other 38 pattern bags with different zips/press studs and if there is a 41 pattern out there with a zip that isnt a Rapid.

David, I can not help with this but you've done a damn good job of trying to get people interested.

                              Perfect for this!
