S&L PAB vs. Zimmermann PAB Theory?

Just saw this briefly discussed in the packet section..after re-reading it my head began to hurt but I may understand?

In a nutshell-the so called Zimmerman PAB may be a S&L PAB without a 'so called'....

I'd like to here this theory discussed in this section so the PAB guys can all relish in this new theory and see if I understand it correctly...

    Thanks

      Dear Jeff,

we cut into this briefly before in here. It is a theory of mine and there are three thought lines leading to that conclusion. Two strong evidence based ones and one supportive, weak sideline. Let´s just state one thing here and for now, about the "so-called" Steinhauer & Lück PAB. The rest I will show and illustrate in my upcoming book about the GAB and after that everybody will be free to accept that theory, deny it or present another one.

-the badge presently called the "so-called Steinhauer & Lück" (with a very unique looking eagle and a pillow crimp reverse) cannot possibly be the Steinhauer & Lück PAB? Why not? Firstly, calling it that was a mere assumption, just based on the fact that one example was found in a S&L packet, decades after the war.

Secondly, the PAB pictured in Steinhauer & Lück's sales catalogue does not match it at all. It is an illustration, more resembling a drawing than an actual photograph, but it can be assumed that an actual original badge was used to create it. To be fair, it does not match ANY known PAB 100%, but it is close to a "so called Zimmermann". But that is just a sideline, more important are reverse setup comparisons among GABs, IABs, PABs, first pattern E-Boat Badges in zinc and EK1s to come to a more fact based conclusion which badges are the S&L GAB, IAB and PAB.
Fact is that all three badges were made by S&L as they are shown in the S&L sales catalogue.

Another thing I discovered is that there must be a very strong link between S&L and Juncker, which might even lead so far that in some cases the same design was shared by both companies.
      Cheers, Frank
