Printed Italia Shield Karstjäger

Hello,

i obtained recently a small ss lot from the family of former ss soldier. Within the group was this printed and worn italia sleeve shield.
It is similar to the one shown on the site about foreign sleeve shields.

I want to list it on the estand and i'm looking for realistic price for it.

Was the soldier an Italian SS??the one in the picture is italian then?

Hello Lelez,

i really don't know. The ss items were part of a larger Luftwaffengroup i got. There where 4 SS pics in it (i'll scan them in a minute). The family didn't knew about a family member in the ss. They thought the sleeve shield belonged to the luftwaffen men (who was an observer).

The backside reads "Zur Erinnerung von dein Kamerad Stefi" (The writing is incorrect for a native German and the Name "Stefi" sound italian to me)

i dont think those men in the pic have the ITALIA shield cos looks different?

Interesting picture with the overseas cap with metal insignia and the eagle wings are bent back.

Can you scan the group shot at higher resolution? I am trying to work out what the raute is, it looks like it maybe be a signals blitz but then again it looks a lot thicker, also the piping on the shoulderstraps look dark.

The cuff title looks like it is 2 words but what ???

I know what you are saying regarding the stripe but they are raute's, I would also say the cuff title is "PE"
