"Italian" Heer M43 caps, what is the reality?

Here are some photos of a strange M43 cap. I have seen more than one of these before, sometimes they have weird-looking crude "Italian-made" insignia. The buttons are the Italian wood (or fake wood) type and the lining is a wool fabric. The insignia are always hand applied. I read recently in a different thread that some experienced collectors accept these as original. Is there a consensus on this type of M43 cap? Is this believed to be real WWII Wehrmacht production? Are any of these known vet bring back, or when did they start appearing on the market? Any comments would be appreciated.

Chirs, does it have the reenforcement seam sewn around the bill of the cap on the underside. I believe the cap to be good, but that's a feature that surely signifies not German made. Also, how about the loops? Thanks

Thanks everyone for the input. Here is a photo of the inside of another cap, identical to the one in the first photos. There is no reinforcement seam and no loops either. Any other comments would be appreciated.

Chris, one more question. Can we see a close-up of the buttonhole? Thanks.
