Customs Inspector cap by Carl Isken

hallo guys, I've seen that Sa kepìs doesn't raise any discussion, so let's change.
I want to show you this visor cap made for Customs high ranked officers (ZollInspector).
This cap is a little hard to descibe, it's more a "crusher" than a classic visor cap. The band is very pliable ann you can easily bend it without any problem, the visor is leather and the upper panel never had a metal wire for sure.
    Let's take a look.

The cap has it's peculiar customs gray-green cloth (this one is extra smooth high quality eskimo like) with dark blue band and (3) piping. Both insigna are light metal alloy. The silver cordel is the inspector version with 1 intervowen dark green wire.

Detail of the maker Carl Isken from Koln. This maker is not too loved by collectors due to the fact that during 3 reich era he worked only on few civil/paramilitar caps and not for army. so the most of you may have heard him due to its wellknown and huge postwar production.
Anyway this is a genuine pre-45 Isken cap.

Last shot. A view under the sweatband. The owner added some paper to fit the cap better. The sweatband is artificial leather.
I hope you may enjoy it.
            ciao!

Beautiful cap Rev. A lot of collectors miss out on these Customs visors without realising just how nice they are. The insignia, especially the eagle, is great on these caps.
