          I´m not a SS cap expert so I can´t comment on such specific details, however In my opinion the sewing of the sweat band looks quite "Amateurish" and also there are quite a few holes on the lining which would indicate there must have been something else earlier on. I highlighted the areas in green.

          Maybe this can be of some assistance in the decision making.
