    camiciotto sahariano WW2?

    Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and was surprised to find an Italian Militaria section on this forum. I have been collecting Italian Militaria since 2004. Mostly Italian ww2 and AOI badges , Bayonets, and pith helmets. Ive come to that point in my collection where it was time to expand and find a tunic to add to it. Recently i purchased this tunic from a collector in the US. It is what i believe to be a Camiciotto Sahariana. Can anyone please verify that it is indeed An Italian Camiciotto Sahariana from WW2. The Tunic came with a pair of EM pants, Both the Tunic and the pants are marked. The Markings on the tunic are faded and the markings for the pants are for the 35 regg. of the Pistoia Division and are dated 1940. Also the stars on the collar tabs are marked with the makers mark G. Bossi milano.
    Here are the photos.

Thanks again for everyones help in IDing this Tunic.

          Hello Ariete,

Welcome! nice camiciotto sahariano with pants thanks for sharing, the flames
(imho possible replaced) at two points red with border yellow (the colors
of Rome and of the GIL) are the Giovani Fascisti division (Rgt GG.FF.)
The heroes of Bir el Gobi ,(Libya 3/7 december1941) an road cross south of Tobruk
where the Reggimento Giovani Fascisti substained and rejected the
clash of the Commonwealth forces ( Crusader operation)
The Giovani Fascisti (GG.FF.) Regiment was formed in 1940 by two battalions
of university student volunteers chosen between fascist universitary organization
          (GUF Gioventu' Universitaria Fascista)
It was anyway a unit of Regular Army (used the stars on the flames) and not
          of MVSN Blackshirt.
The regiment was committed to North Africa in summer 1941 and continued
to fight until last surrender in Tunisia.
          cheers, Raffaello

Very very nice uniform Ariete compliments.
I agree with Raffaello, probably the collar tabs are replaced.
                Regards, Luca.

Thanks again to all of you who confirmed the tunic, much appreciated. Im very happy with it, and it certainly brings my collection to a new level.

Dennis, Whats interesting to note is that both the GGFF and the Pistoia were both rearguard and stationed together during El Alamein. To possibly have a GGFF tunic and pantaloons of the Pistoia Division would be plausible.

                          Thanks again.
