    Fuhrer standard, what value?

I might have a line on a Fuhrer standard. I'm awaiting photos and price/value is next on the conversation agenda.

Assuming it's a good one with nice markings, what kind of value are we talking here?

Is it printed or embroidered, how large?

Printed. Size I think is 50x50.

        Hello CPB:
IMO, depending on condition, the AH flag value
is around $3K to $4K, and maybe more in Europe.

These are barely breaking 2k on the ask here, one on estand was run unsold another in open market at 2200.00 and a 3rd unsold at 2500.00. Hermanns offed one higher not long ago but not by much and they will run even currency. Almost buy a large one for that when they come about.

              Thanks OFW.

Here are the only decent photos I have so far. He is putting a $5500 figure on this which, given your market synopsis OFW, seems somewhat high. There will be wiggle room though.

Clearly, there is some mothing. Waiting on a photo of any markings, etc, plus the other side.

Seller says it's 1m square, but it looks rectangular. Could that be right, or is it simply because of the bunching on the top do you think?

This was brought back by a 3rd Infantry Division veteran, who likely took it from the Berghof – along with the other flag I posted up the other day here.

The source is good and well know collector.

One more photo to add. Confirmed at 1mx1m

The veteran wrote "Hitlers" on it, and you can see that to the right.

Very nice - looks like the eagle over the "M" ordinance stamp which indicates it was used by the Kriegsmarine.

Did the KM use these standards?

Weren't they only used when der Fuhrer was present?

Although I guess he could have been on a vessel or in a port.

On Hitlers many visits to a Kriegmarine vessel and Hq,s this standard was used/flown. It would be my guess that the Kriegsmarine had a number of these in stock for his visits.

                        Very good, thank you.

Do you think ones with KM markings were used exclusively at KM locations?

Also, why would the manufacturer/NSDAP warehouse bother to even stamp them KM? Was there any difference in the material or manufacture between these and regular 'land based' ones?

Yes, Kriegsmarine locations plus once the standard was brought into the Kriegsmarine inventory/stock they would apply the ordnance stamp not the maker as they would do with any other item/equipment that they would use. No difference in material both land and sea.

Couple are the same banner that has been floating around since 2005, marked sold only to pop up on another site or table. Listed as sold does not mean all that much and the last Waf banner ran down the stand for 3 months as I recall. They don't sell strong. The one shown however is not 50 x 50 its larger and pretty bright with some mothing which will bring the number up to 4500.00+

These seem to be in the category of the Reichkanzlei tapestries...attractive and rare but a hard sell. For the money most collectors would rather invest in items with broader appeal.
