Thanks guys, for your kind comments! Actually the cap looks even better in flesh; the cap construction is very solid and thick. It completely maintained its shape and you can see that the insignia are original to the cap, since there're no traces of previously put or taken away metal devices. The edelweiss was very likely put before finishing the construction of the cap, before the lining was put in place. There are no holes on the interior of the lining, showing that the edelweiss' prongs could have perforated it.

It was a bit pricey, but it's definitely a beauty and a keeper!!! I looked so long for a GJ visor cap... the real ones don't surface on the market as often as the many put together or partially faked visor caps you can see nowadays being offered by many dealers.

                            Ciao,

                            Claudio

                              Dear forumites,

I also want to spare a word about Peter von Lukacs' online shop. I visited his shop in Stockholm and I was very impressed about his friendly attitude, competent assistance and large selection of III. Reich's original collectibles (highlights were the uniforms and the visor caps). I would like to show his website link:

                              http://www.military-antiques-stockholm.com/

I can only recommend this shop and Peter; a real gentlemen in this business where there are always lots of sharks lurking for naive collectors.

                              Ciao,

                              Claudio
