      That's great, thanks for the pictures. I had the opportunity to sit at the controls of a HE 111 with an old Luftwaffe friend who flew ME 110's, that was fun. My great-uncle was also a squadron leader on ME 109's during the BoB.

        Lucky you! I bet it was great in that 111 surrounded by all that canopy!
        Nice to have a LW veteran in your family too I bet he has regailed many a story!

          Wonderful pics and Thanks for shareing.I feel these should Not be flown,Taxi Runs are a Great way to show them off.Every year we loose more neat Pieces to Bad Pilots and weather...Its a shame to risk these pieces.

            You have a good point there! We have lost many Warbirds to accidents etc

            However there is nothing in the world like hearing the roar of 4 Merlin
            engines flying overhead! The younger generation need to experience it.

              You're right, Nick, he had many 'tall tales' when he was alive. I think his favorites were bombing Paris in a Gotha in 1918 and how much he hated Moelders, under whom he served as a wingco in 1941
