Please opinions on this unusual EK1 early LDO case

    Hi,
I just had this early LDO case. This one is very different from my other ealy LDO ones (I like early LDO cases)

    Differences :
    - squared corners
    - different push button (observed on other style of EK1 cases like the domed cases)
    - outer covering

    what I like :
    - overall construction
    - the mm perfectly match the L/11 of my other Deumer cases

from the pics I first received, I thought it was curious.. Now I have it in hand I like it but need some more opinions as I never observed a such variation

    thanks

    Michael

Well I like what I see. Am I correct if I say it was a case for a gold woundbadge=

I like it alot! 621 marked base is for EK, Maker stamp matches some of Your other examples and I see nothing at all that would peg it as a fake! A very nice and obviously rare type LDO EKI case! It reminds me as far as the square type corners of the Meybauer marked cases...Congrats Michael!!!
                        Best Regards!

                          Hi Micahel,

Sorry for the delay, I've been suffering from ''time out'' and error messages on the WAF.

Okay, what we have is NOT early, it is the last guise of the first patterned LDO cases, prior that is to the transition to the second pattern LDO ranges and series of packaging. So, technically a ''mid-war'' case in its form.

Also, Rene is correct in so far as the case shell and outer covering are more synonymous with silver and gold wound badges.

I therefore would surmise that this case would have been for in the intended LDO range at a the time: likely for the silver/gold wound badges and the EK1 and KVK1 - as I say in the LDO range.

                          KR

Many thanks René, Kevin & Marcus for your opinion.

Markus, when you said "mid war" would you think arrounf 1942 ??? I ever thought such LDO logos where very early...
