Hmmmmm. I've had a few private emails from collectors who would like to buy it. I hold Gary's opinion in highest esteem , I would like his judgement if he would be so kind.

I can't say that I am an expert on this particular machine-woven style, but I believe this one to be an original "bell bottom" eagle.

Original bell bottom for enlisted..not a common one to find, more often found in flatwire.Very nice.

Wow, I guess I just degraded an eagle style from my own collection. What was I thinking???

                      Peter,

That is a very nice flatwire, but it is not the flatwire version of the "bell bottom."

Yes its a nice original eagle. Harder to find as enlisted than officer flat wire I would say.
