Nice! I remember how it started in my case: first my grandparents' dramatic stories about 1940, the occupation and 1944, later the 'cool' stories in 'Then and Now'. I wonder where all these old issues of this somewhat undervalued magazine ended up (sold them for a nickle and a dime in the 1990's). I always tried to visit nearby locations (like Eben-Emael), just to 'feel' the presence of history.
At 18 I went to college to study history because of this 'flaming passion', and now I'm a teacher... Funny how it goes!
Right now I am in Zoutelande (near Middelburg) for the weekend. The weather will be nice tomorrow, I think I'll visit Kloetinge. The passion never died!
