    SS visor

Would anyone please let me know if it's possible to tell what maker eagle and skull might be applied on this original visor. For the record: this named visor is vet acquired and never messed with. I didn't know if it's possible to tell makers without removing the insignia which, of course, I won't do. No problem if it's not possible but just curious. Thanks in advance.

The skull is a Deschler for sure.
Can't really speak for the eagle.

I could probably tell, but only with a much better closeup photo of the eagle by itself.
Skull is a Deschler, as was already stated.

the eagle photo is blurred and tilted
                      but
The characteristics of the head, eye pos ,Beak, eyebrow ....
the distances between this point and the other ....
I would bet on an RZM M1 / 17 Assmann.

I also believe that it is an Assmann. Of course, this one could be marked either "155/36", or "M1/17".

                          Eagle

I hope the owner resists the urge to remove the eagle to check the mfgr.
Bad things can happen.........you will regret it if you break a prong.......

Owen already stated, "of course, I won't do."

Good job Howard! The cap and badges DO appear unmessed with IMO and I would NEVER remove them. A private-purchase SS Officer's cap is 10 times rarer (and more desirable IMO) than a Kleiderkasse cap and yours is a beauty!
