I have read up on the post WW1 EK1's and decided to throw this one out there for the experts to look at. Any way to determine the makers of these unmarked crosses?

Re the cross, I'm thinking this is a WW2 vintage unmarked Deumer (L/11). The catch is classic Deumer, and the hinge/pin assembly is typical for this maker.
WW1 crosses normally measured about 42 mm. Interwar crosses were normally in the 42-43 mm range and some early WW2 crosses (Schinkels) were also about 43 mm. Standard WW2 crosses were specified as 44 mm - that's what I'm guessing yours measures. 57 re-issue crosses were also typically 44 mm but yours doesn't have the highly burnished silver plated frames commonly found on early 57 crosses so I think your example is more likely wartime.
Note that the measurements are "typical" and size variations for all periods are certainly possible.

I'm pretty sure that Darrell's EK1 and mine match 100% - and mine is marked "L/11" under the catch.
Notice the "1914" up against the right ribbing and the crown slightly to the left of centre.
