This is a fairly uncommon badge that I thought I would share. It's a tombak S&L, pinmarked "4" with a great firegilt finish. These are very high quality badges and hard-to-find.... so keep an eye out for it.

Hello Lorenzo,
Nice badge, and excellent photos of it. S&L has always been my favorite in a Destroyer Badge. Much nicer than a buntmetall Schwerin in my opinion. Here is one from my collection. It's not perfect, but I think it has a great look.
Best regards,
TomAttached FilesMihi libertas necessest!

Thanks for the comments, guys.
@ Tom....nice badge!
I hope other members can post pictures of their S&L Destroyer badges. I have seen these badges with a longer tophook and would like to see and learn about some of those.Visit my Badge Collection: http://lbmilitaria.homestead.com/home.html

I think mine would have had the long type of top hook you are referring to. The long top hooks were made of flat metal stock instead of round wire. They were probably more prone to breaking than the shorter, stockier top hook.
