Contemporary photos of Knights Cross Recipients

Here are a few photos of Schmalz, Graf and Rudel that were taken during the late 60's and 70's These were taken by a neighbor of mine.

The photos were taken in the homes of Schmalz and Graff. The photo of Rudel was taken in the bank vault where his awards were kept.

I hope that some folks will enjoy seeing these photos.

I have always felt bad for Graf. One of the best pilots and put through the ringer after the war. I doubt I could have handled what they dished out. I think history has been needlesly remorseless to him.
