Hi Carlo,
Excellent picture of an M43 with seperate insignia. In pictures you often see metal insignia or seperate cloth insignia being worn. The trapezoid insignia however is extremely hard to locate in period photographs while they are so abundant in caps offered for sale.....I wonder why..........

I can think of twenty some photos that I have that do...and I'm not much of a photo collector. If anything, the "trapezoid" insignia is probably most common on RESTORED hats. Are you suggesting that it is fake insignia?
