          Hello,

there's also a clasp to the ic 1st class and a schinkel ic (similar frame as the 1914 but - of course- different core) - all Deumer made- out there. I really like the high quality on these early ic - much better than on later ones.

Here's the Deumer version of the 1914 EK 1 done in the TR style/shape.

Are you able to post a picture of this 'Deumer made schinkel'?

                regards

                  Hello Marshall,

i'm sorry i didn't have one in my collection but i belive the one shown in Gordons book on page 123 (bottom) to be a Deumer made Schinkel. It's similar to the 1914 one shown by me, execpt for the core.

                        Here's a decidedly "Schinkel-y" looking 1939 EK 1 from Deumer's wartime catalog.

                          Hello Marshall,

similar means for me 3rd. Reich manufacture, the design is different....But i like those early crosses and also the 1914 3rd.Reich crosses.

                            Heinrich

I have a screwback schinkel - but I have never considered there was anything about it that says 'Deumer'....

(VERY interesting catalogue shot George - and offered with screwback!)

Where DO you get your catalogues from...

                            regards

Okay, here's my 1914. I'd say it's a pretty close match to heinrich66's at the top of the page.
