Hi guys,
I have one of these as my avatar pic!
I am currently restoring 2 for my collection,i have sourced several bits for them which has been costly!
Im certain that yellow was used in the colour schemes as well as green.
if yellow, then a red 3/4 inch diagonal stripe was painted on the paddles and wings.
if green then a yellow sripe was painted on the paddles and wings.
cheers
w.

Pete:
You every work with "Gravel" Mines? I know that they were used by us quite a bit along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, especially when RT/ST"s were running for their lives on that side of the fence. They were really a devilish weapon if I ever saw one. They are approximately the size of 12 gauge bean bag rounds and I use those for my for my displays to represent them.

I enjoyed the feeling when i found out 2 weeks later what i have found ... i was ****ing in my pants
Luckily i did not take it at home because i thought, its just crap from a farmer
or lumberjacks. It has not that "I am a bomb" look and it was found behind
the frontlines where no fightings took place it was a retreating area. The interresting is, that the steelrope is cut of. Maybe it was used for a trap ...?
Here is a pic with a lighter for comparison of the sizeAttached FilesLast edited by Ostmark; 10-11-2007, 02:22 PM.
