But I can say that from these fotos is not for me.
A lot of small things are different from what I want to see in a Pz. sidecap.
Especially the vent grommets. I have seen a similar type a few times on officers overseas caps but never on a factory produced one. I would prefer to see them split.
The lack of the "fingers" on the back of the gromet was the first thing I noticed on this cap. I checked a few dealer sites and did find this type of gromet on several caps but it is certainly not the majority. For example there are several on the Collectors Guild in both officer and enlisted grade caps.
Any other particulars that are not right in you eyes?

Hi John,
As Alter Art mentioned its very difficult these days to make a call on these just from photos. The copies have gotten very good. I would prefer to see a gray lining, since all the good ones I've ever handled were that color. In the Wilkins book he states "early Panzer caps nearly always have steel gray interiors". Just a comment. Jim

I had enlisted cap with gromets of this type in my collection - and it was 1942 manufacture - late like for this model.
but I cant judge this cap - I dont know much about panzer side caps... - I like the shape of that hat , but eagle looks reaplied
