Can someone please tell me what type of jacket this is? I thought maybe ground personnel? Not seen this type of jacket before also with the breast pockets.. ??

I've never seen a luft jacket of that cut. It looks more like what I would think a Kriegsmarine coastal artillery work jacket might look like. Strange.

Shame, there was one of these on Manion's a month ago also...Maybe you wont have to pay for it since it just ended. But I'm shure the seller will be getting up on his high horse ! Maybe if you explain that you have put it up on an identification forum and that its unanimous. Good luck.

the jackt is a dachbodenfund from my grandfather brother and have origial stamp on the inside from the jacket.i have from this man 2 medalls and other items.

Here is another one (from a 2007 thread....)
Its a similar "blau meliert" (blue mottled) West German Polizei uniform (Berlin).
Note West German (Berlin) polizei rectangular collar tabs ghosts...
and pocket pleats are way different....and comes with golden buttons!
Save your money,it has nothing to do with Luftwaffe!
