    I hade forgotten about this one, found it today in one of the boxes. Thought it was long gone, got about 12 - 15 years ago.

    Any opinions about it´s authenticy?

    It´s made out of Zink and has a scratching on the reverse were the crack is. Looks like K5 or KS to me. Sorry about the crappy pics

        Sorry, but I believe this to be the post-war copy. All the originals I have seen have pinbacks and no mounting holes.

          Hans,

          During the timeframe you mentioned a french reproduction hit the market. They used an original capbadge for their die. They were made from zinc and lacked the pins on the back. Because they used an original for the die, they are smaller and lack the detailing of an original. However they are good enough to fool someone who doesn't have an original to compare it with. I still see them being sold as originals.

          I disagree that all originals had the pins on the back. Heres an example I own.

            here it is side by side with a "textbook" piece that was in Bobs book. They are exactly the same.

                  I compared yours with a picture of the fakes from France and I believe they are the same. The telling features are the thin snout on the dog and the thin rim around the edge. Wr Jim
