I always forget who made these crosses with a hole in the backplate, it was a company in Gablonz.
Some people believe they're authentic, others don't.
The core of this ek however is not authentic.
Judging by the condition of the disc I presume the ek was dug up, split and re-soldered with a "new": core.

Hi Nick,
as I already stated it is a controversial piece.
Somewhere on WAF is a thread with pictures of the site of this factory.
It shows a lot of stuff the found in the earth, very interesting.
I can't find the thread, maybe someone else here has a link ??
Butscheck has got one for sale, with a repaired disc.
There is also a pinback version, which is kind of hard to find as well.
I know about one of those currently for sale, but I don't like the price....

Why are you offering this ek as guaranteed original on militaria321??
The core is not original (or at least: pre '45) so not an original ek.

Hi Tom: I don't have prove that they are authentic, but I do believe they are.
The cross at the start of this thread however has a different core, not pre-45
I presume it's a dug-up cross that was put together with a new core
@ Chris: that is one of the threads about these crosses, thanks for posting !
