Interesting Wehrpass from a Scharführer killed by le resistance on 7. June 1944 in Tulle!!
Johannes Albert
Born 3. May 1907 in Kiel
Civilian occupation, Police NCO.
Wehrpass was issued in 1935 when Johannes served his time as a NCO at the Wehrmacht Art. Regt.68.
After his Wehrmacht service he returned to his police duty and must have served at the Jewish Ghetto in Litzmannstadt at some point, as it’s the SD commander from Litzmannstadt, who retruns the Wehrpass to his wife after KIA in France to his wife.
The Wehrpass has only a few wartime entries, but according to a handwritten Feldpostnumber on the front of the Wehrpass) he must have been part of the SD in France 13324D= Sicherheits-Polizei (SD) Frankreich Einsatz-Kommando Limoges
If you do a search on him on the Volksbund Gräbersuche, you will find all data in the Wehrpass matching him listed as Scharführer and today buried at Berneuil , France.
The Wehrpass comes with a letter, telling his wife he had been KIA in “in Kampf mit Terroristen”
