    Schiffswappen collection.

Greetings, my latest acquisitions. I think they look good on the wall of my "war-room"

I have only just started collecting these and I have amassed quite a few so far.
Always looking to acquire more though.
    Regards,
    JustinG

    Thanks for looking.

            Hey dude,

Nice!! I have a few myself but need only the Panzerschiff Admiral Scheer to finish the 3 off.

Keep them coming I like them a lot. Would look killer with the tally and a picture of each ship in a grouping!!

            Cheers

                Great idea!

I picked up this grouping to one man several years back along with some of his basic seaman's books. The Deutschland crest on the left is made of leather and the the right is embroidered. I've tried to get his information from WaST, but keep getting turned down. The reunion badges are from Deutschland/Lutzow. He served his entire naval career on the Panzeschiffe. I'm sure if I could get his info, I would find a Spanish Cross is missing from the group

Really interesting that posting. Haven't seen a leather constructed wappen yet. Very neat and I believe rare.

Could you show closer pictures of the blue and red items Kondor ( I assume these are the reunion badges)?
The reflection of the glass masks these out.

                  Regards,
                  JustinG

I will post my Kreuzer Leipzig and S. Scharnhorst here soon as well.

Looking forward to seeing others who collect or have examples to share.

                  Regards,
                  JustinG

                        Here you are Justin,

Not so good with camera. The Blue is the exact same as the red & White. I was able to shoot an extra White. The only thing that is written is Mai 1984 in marker. Made by Otwis-Plastik, Simmbach an Inn.

There is something else written on the reverse of the extra pin, but I can't make it out.

Schiffswappen are nice collection related to the ships and their tallies, colourfull and decorativ. My personal "co-collection" to the tallies are Wiking-ship-modells. They were produced in large numbers between 1934 and 1942. After 1942 production was complete delivered to Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe for ship-recognition training.
The distribution of these models were supported by the Marine-HJ and the Kriegsmarine. Hitler got a complete display of the german fleet in parade on his birthday in 1939.
A Torpedoboot was sold for 70 Pfennig, Gneisenau/Scharnhorst 2,75 Reichsmark.
My collection has grown over the years, many variations and also all "foreign fleets", nearly 700 models.

                          Regards
                          Markus
