    SS officer bullion eagle Fanastic Find

    I seem to have a lot of luck when it comes to finding SS officer bullion eagles.

    This was part of a amazing lot picked up in 1945.

    However, not much point banging on about the story. I will let the item do the talking. Bob Hritz also showed one by this maker in post number 22 and 23 of this thread;

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ght=122&page=7

    When you hold it in hand it talks original to you with every thing you want in one made before May 1945,

    Chris

                    Thank you Istra63, Felix and Robert,

                    I am pleased this meets with your approval. The top of the wings is a variation when compared to the others. I really like the "chunky" appearance of the bird and the swaz that fills the wreath. It must have looked impressive on the tunic it was removed from.

                    Best regards,

                    Chris

                      Congratulations! This is rare pattern, indeed.

                            Lets wait and see what John Pic says about it being an early Sieder,

                            He certainly had no such issues with the one Bob Hritz owns and shown here in post numbers 5 & 6
