    Quedlinburg

    Hi guys!

I just acquired the silver Quedlinburg/Heinrich tinnie over the weekend.
Unfortunately, it doesn't have the pin, but this is only the second one
that I have ever seen anywhere, and I'm sure that this one will probably be the last. Supposedly, these Quedlinburg tinnies are the rarest of all the third Reich tinnies. Does anyone know what these are going for now?

    Thanks! Chris

Hello Chris, I appreciate that the pin is missing, however could we still see a picture of the reverse.
    Best regards Martin

      Chris,
Could you also show a picture of the side? Thanks

Here is the reverse. It appears to have had a pin or something placed inside the badge on the back side, and then it was ground down flush with the rest of the flat, smooth reverse. When I acquired the badge, it had been glued to a block of marble with a felt bottom, (I guess it was made into a desk ornament).
I dissolved the glue underneath and finally got it off of the block.
The front side certainly appears to be identical to the other original that I saw, but I never saw the reverse side of the other one.
What do you think about it?

        Thanks! Chris

          The side has shear marks.

            Chris.

In my humble opinion, the only original versions of this badge are the bronzed ones...................actually bronzed cupal. Very lightweight, no maker mark.

The detailing on the bronze one is superior to that on the one above.

I got a bronze one for $80....................about 10 years ago. It came with a batch of unrelated common tinnies.

              Here's a bronze original.

The runes have been blotted out on this photo, but you can see the differences.

The face and other parts of the design are much better.

                Thanks Robin!

I also have a CupAl version and I know it is real. I can't believe that you got one for $80.00. I paid $750.00 for mine, and I know another one that sold for $1,000.00 about four years ago. Anyway, the silver one is much taller than the CupAl ones and are certainly made from different dies, (whether or not it is original).

                Best, Chris

Here is my spoon that came with it. I don't know of another one of these in the world, and I've never seen anything with better detail.

That's a very nice bronze one you have, Chris.

The spoon is probably an old tourist memento from the cathedral.

                          Chris,
After seeing the back and side, I do believe its a reproduction. I`ve had both the repo and the real thing and like the one that Robin bought, I paid a cool $150.00 for mine several years ago
That is a real nice bronze one you have!!!

                              Thanks for the help, guys!

                              Best, Chris
