    Attributed RK

    Hello All,

Many collectors have one or more RK in collections, but how many with a name ?

My Steinhauer & Lück RK belonged to the Kapitänleutant Egon-Reiner Freiherr von Schlippenbach, RK the 19 november 1943 and U-453 Kommandant.

It will be a pleasure to see other attributed RK.

    Regards,

    Michel

                  I guess I'll play devil's advocate here...

Is there some sort of afidavit for each stating that these did indeed belong to the people stated, direct vet buys from the family, what?

In one case for my groups, I was in touch with the son of the veteran and his family. In fact they sent me other pictures, including his grave, and I am still in touch to this day. It was not an RK, but a German Cross in that group, Oberleutnant Rinklef Karl Rinklef, whose story is posted at the bottom of this page - http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/germ...recipients.htm

I do have an atributed group, but no "proof" of it. Just the documents, the cross, and a photo.

The reason I asked the question was not to bust anyone's balls but to see what actually convinced you to pay a premium for these groups...are you just trusting souls?

Fran, sometimes the 'gut' just says it all!

The guys who work for me couldn't function effectively without that 'feeling'....so sometimes we have to just trust what is presented!!

And this from the Forum's resident cynic
