THis one and with swords are my absolute favorites! As dumb as it may sound I think I'd rather have these than any other. I've seen Fritziii's one display in Toledo and they are indeed eye catching!..RICK

It's wonderful to see an original piece after seeing so many impersonations on the market! The detailing is just amazing. The markings, everything are just perfect.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

                        RK des KvK

                        Hi Jeff,
That is a lovely cross and it matches my example. I must say that these RK des KvKs are really under priced and they are terrific awards. I am glad you are now a member of the RK des KvK club!

                        Regards,

is it that they are underpriced or that RK's are way overpriced and will NEVER be obtained by your average collector?

                            Hi William,
What I meant to say is that collectors are going nuts and paying $7,000+ for standard RKs of the Iron Cross. The basic silver RK des KvK is much rarer in either form with or without swords and many can be bought for under $4,000. To me $4,000 isnt bad (for a rare award) when I see common Heer and Luftwaffe Helmets (M-40 and M-42s) selling in the $1,000 to $1,200 price range.

As far back as the early 80's the RK des KvK was around $1,000 and was vauled more highly than the standard RK of the Iron Cross. Today, that is not the case. The RK of the Iron Cross has more than doubled in value when compared to its War Merit Cousin.

                            Regards,
                            Jody

Absolutely incredible! The patina on this one is damn near perfect. I honestly couldn't imagine a finer example

                              Congrats!

                                Jody,

Could this be because of the many copies on the market today steering people away from this award, them not really wanting to take the chance on buying something that may not be original, as this award certainly is? I've seen very good copies of this.
