    Mischlast Abwurfbehälter 250

    Hi all!

There was no thread about Mischlast Abwurfbehälter 250 so here it is...

Mischlast Abwurfbehälter 250 - "handbuch" in PDF
You will be surprised, what kind of stuff you could put there....
    http://www.fallschirmjager.net/Vehic...0Mischlast.pdf

I would like to share photos of supply canister - "Zylindrischer Einsatz für Mischlast" that are less common than jerry cans.

They had interchangeable lids with different colors to signify the nature of the contents. A red lid indicated flammable or combustible or explosive contents such as kerosene or ammunition.

    Some details...

Probably there is a manual, about the canisters used in "supply bomb", but I have only one page. Maybe members can help?

    The device

    To be continued....

              Well made!

Maybee you can answer a question I have in my mind for a loooooong time - are those really waterproof? They do not pop open when landing? Or are they not simply filled with liquids, but again with smaller containers containing fuel, water, etc.?

                  Thank you guys

                  @ Gran Sasso

                  The containers must be filled.
This is the idea of dropping supply.
Jerry cans has gaskets and all drums sit very tight in the belly of the container.
Besides, the top of the main container has empty sections, that takes over the power of collision with ground.

                              Small update.

                              There have left only:
                              4 long drums
                              3 tails
                              1 short drum
                              1 cutted cone

This was an one off "production" in 2016.
I will not make them anymore, so if you are interested email me directly at:
