    Pin-marked Deumer EK 1

This just in, a variation you don't see to often -- an EK 1 by Wilhelm Deumer with the maker mark stamped on the pin.
    First, the obverse.

Outstanding pieces, George! Both very hard-to-find crosses, in such nice condition also. Deumer certainly had a variety of variant markings.

Thanks, guys! These two have really helped me on the way to getting all of the known maker varieties -- but there are still a few more!

Well, not to throw out hints or anything ( ), but I don't have an "L/57" screwback, or a nice "L/18" screwback. I think that's about it. (I'm not going after Junckers....)

Beautiful, and thank you for showing them, George.

Is an "L/11" mark without the box around it considerably rarer than the standard mark (as shown on your pins) with the box? One sees fewer of them.

I would say that "L/11" without box is rarer than with. And I've never seen it without box on a pin.
