                    Hi Jacques, this is an interesting one. I think most people would dismiss the cap out of hand because of the makers mark which is very uncommon on original M43's and obviously seen a lot on repros.
                    I've never handled a Halfar marked cap but I do remember that years ago, Jerry had this one and he was happy with it. I can't find a pic of the inside but it was definitely a Halfar.

                            Looks fake, I do not like the lining material at all. I would be interested to see what the bias material is made from.

                              Very different to the Carl Halfar markings in tropical caps Jacques. Here are the markings in a cap previously posted on the forum which belongs to another member here (I hope that he doesn't mind me using the picture). As you can see on the '43 dated cap the markings are very different.
