    GAB Opinions Please.

    I bought a few medals & badges two years ago - a Cased EKI, EKII, East Medal, Black Wound Badge & this GAB.

    I bought the other items, but not this as I considered it a repro, it came along as a freebie.
    It had been polished, it's settled down a bit now, & I'd just like to go firm now one way or the other - good or bad?

    It seems to have a bright silver finish to the front although some areas have a dark patina, appears matt silver to the rear.

    Opinions welcome please.

    reverse - looks good in the photos - how could I ever doubt it.

      It is truely amazing how often this design is questioned as real or not! Guys, this is probably the most common design of the GABs. Only one known fake of these around and this is not it.

        Thanks, when i first got it, it looked newly minted, completre with little snags on the edges of the striking.

        It had been freshly polished, 2 years later it looks more the part which is why I posted it, as I was no longer as convinced that it was duff.

        It looks better in the photos than in the hand, it's nice to know it's a real one.
