Has anyone ever seen anything like this? The person that sent me this thinks it is an original variant, foreign made - but I have never seen anything like it. It measures 7cm from wingtip to wingtip. Any thoughts?

I don't like it at all .... which probably means it's an original 'locally made' (GOD I hate that ... usually a blatant excuse for fakery) 'variant'.

The reverse looks very much like the Reitz production eagles, i think its period, haven't seen this before.Comment

I also vote foreign (maybe Reitz Belgium)! Technically not "Reitz" but a factory called "La Nominette" in Belgium!
(and these insignia could have been supplied to Reitz for their uniform production)
