    Hi Jarek,

this system "blocks the next bid" was @ Detlev Niemann. And I it was not possible to buy items, if someone bought it before!
What should I say. I manage two times to buy inside 5 seconds the item, but always get the answer, sorry it is already sold!

Later I got the information, that some of his best friends/ clients get a special preview and it was already fixed who will get the rare items.

So Detlev Niemann had this system what you proposed, but at least it was also not fair and it took not long to recognize it.

...but others dealers like Hiscoll or Phillip-Milltaria have this system and it works - nobody buys after 2-3 times the same cross ...

        Jarek,

You cannot compare the volume of new items at Hiscol with that of Weitze!

It's much easier to answer a few dozen mails than literally hundreds.

                Hello,
at the pictures it makes a good impression to me but I have never seen such a cross befor too! Designsimilarities to a EK 1 made by Hymmen are clearly visible. I think you have to handle it to say something more about it. Why do you have doubts about the authentity of that shown piece?!

... just about that you wrote ...
besides I have seen already a little different crosses EK2-1939, and these original and those not original, because I have doubts, but only IMO.

original cross, i have no red flag when i see it, sorry , i saw it only in your this thread, soooooo late,
i rather paying more money for this cross, honest and top rare!
and don't blame to Weitze, it is your fault.
you are late, and you don't know how Weitze works.
he is fair and i think the most stuff , i rate it at 98%, are nice and original, something in argument is ok, because he is the biggest dealer,
but this cross is from my experience: no copy!

I'm not an EK collector, but I do collect Hymmen items ... this has some characteristics of the Hymmen EKI frame, and that looks like a typical L/53 mark ... could this really be the elusive Hymmen EKII? What's the consensus - is this legit?

                      Best,

That's not really the case because the majority of Weitze's updates contain re-listed items which are for sale on their site for a longer time already.

And yes, I've also been in the situation already with items that I've ordered, got confirmation by e-mail, and than to find out 14 days later, after receiving regular mail with the invoice that some items have been sold to others. I think this system they use doesn't really work and in my opinion it's better if an item turns up as "on hold" or "sold" immediately. That, with on top their often far overpricing of items I decided to buy my stuff elsewhere. Plenty of other places to get nice stuff

I have long looked on this cross, and compared it with Hymmen's crosses EK1.
