    Maker: Adolf Block, Cöln

I was asked about this "maker", and I have never heard of Block before.
Further, the hat does not exactly give me the warm fuzzies.
Also, shouldn't "Coln" be spelled with a "K"?:

Wool is very rough, and the limited pic of the sweatband makes it look like one of those Derwig fakes:

Cap is fake and the tunic has been put together as PZ officer, insignia not original to uniform or it was a sloppy tailer to have one of the collortabs sewn upside down... Eagle resewn aswell. The shield maybe original to tunic? Don't know...
Back to cap: Print reads Hute und Uniformen ? Or is it Mute? (deaf/mutant?) What does that mean?
I believe they ment Mutze? !
Anyway the C for Cologne is indeed the dead giveaway!

The caps and the Marker are imo fakes.

But, the offical diction of Cologne (Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium) from 1900 to 1919 was Cöln.

The same with Kassel in Hesse, offical diction up to 1926 was Cassel.

"Hüte" means caps, is the plural of cap "Hut"

These visors are one look fakes - and it don't matter where you look first.
Missed you at the show Chris.

Erich, I would love to have been there with you and Paul. (Once again, work got in the way).

Next year I will definately be there!

Seems to me that Ebay germany is a real minefield on TR caps, but I have had some success on Imperial era headgear.
