Very nice piece by Deschler, congratulations.

Seems like it might be silver? I know some were made in real silver -- along with the Übergroße, this is the only type of 1939 EK2 I know made in real silver.
      Best regards,
      Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

Pretty damned ugly, if you ask me, regardless of how rare it might be. How they got away with producing that, we'll never know.

            Rich,
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... A nice example and one that I have been after for a long time (with no luck).

I cannot see anything ugly on this piece

Has one an idea how to proof its material for being solid silver???

Take it to a jeweler and have it tested. I like the cross it has that worn style. Jim

Doesn't matter if its beautiful, (my mm65 is beautiful ) what matters is that its real and an important part of the EKII story. Construction wise (as picture 2 suggests) it seems to be a little rough, things not attached properly, things not filed to perfection etc, but that just adds the character to the piece. Great find.

One thing I will ask. Shot two suggests that the frame hasn't been punched into shape properly below the beading on the 12 o'clock arm where it meets the 9 o'clock arm. Am I right about that or is it just the photo?
