lol looks like the muzzle brake broke

    Comment

That type of 88 doesn't have a muzzle break.
What I was refering to, was the fact that the barrel looks weirdly long and as if someone has stuck a piece of drain pipe on it from about the mid-point of the barrel.

Your right it does look a bit odd, it looks like a Flak 18 barrel but the length of a Flak 41! The odd thing is the 41 had the quick change 3 or 4 piece barrel.

Best guess would be that it is either a mock up (fake) barrel or it has been put together from bits of different types of Flak 88’s. If anyone can find some history on this gun that might help. Being in Spain maybe it’s left over from the Spanish civil war and is some Flak 18 variant?

Well one things is for sure and that is its not a L56 at 4.93 meters. So either the barrel is mocked up or it might be some 36/41 L88 7.74m variant, but then very few of those were made and like i said, i am sure that all had the quick change barrel system. hmm. any change of some more pics?

A great find, especially the Panther idler hubcap. It seems, that it have a green base coat.Is it possible for you to check up,which hue of green it is and if there is another color under the green, this would be great!!

                        Best regards,Wenzel.

                          Hi Wenzel,

the remains of the green paint is the endlayer. I will have to check what color is underneath........the inside of the hub has red-oxideprimer.
The panther parts came from the la Gleize area and are thus from one of Peipers Panthers

here some more parts that I rescued...Stug III remains ...Idler and roadwheel

What are these? Russian tank parts or just civilian crap?
They are painted with Russian army paint (but ofcourse could be done for civilian use).
