The biannual meeting of the Holy Grail club 2007

With the recent discussions about 1813 EKs, I thought it might be
time to hold a meeting of the Holy Grail club. It's been a couple years
since our last meeting. We have lost a couple of our previous members and hopefully gained some new members. All that's required for membership is a period 1813 Iron Cross. So if you have one, please share it with us.

Here is mine. It definitely has that "been there, done that" look to it.

Nice. My next goal is a 1870 EK2. 've never considered an 1813 because I just figured the price was too high and there were so many fakes. Is picking one of these things up a realistic goal? I have about 40 EK's now and would love an 1813, most likely a 2nd class, but where would you find one, and how much would a decent one cost?

Nice!! I hope one day to be a member of the Holy Grail Club..I have a feeling that I may be divorced at that time though for some strange reason.

                    Gorgeous stuff guys!

                    Just a note - my 1813 standard size is a multi-frame construction:

                      Thanks Greg.

It's always nice to see them in good company with other relatives. I really like the flat open back on yours. Sweet!

                        Marc,

That's a super example of a multi piece 1813 EKII. These early ones are very tough to find. If you ever tire of it I would love to trade you some slightly used virgins for it.

                        Let me know. Thanks!

Here's mine. My great great great grandfather is still wearing it though. Franz August. Can't get more original than this. Rode on Blucher's staff.
