    Naval Mini Stickpins

Here is the group from the collection I bought. This will save me some time trying to find them individually.

        Hi Bob,
Great pins. I guess I need to collect those things now (that is all I need now on my plate).

        Regards,
        Jody

Very nice catch Bob However I don't believe the Frontspnge is contemporary. Now you only have two more to look for, unless you don't have them tucked away in your vast collection

I don't recall ever seeing the 2nd model E-Boat or the U-Boat Close Combat Clasp miniatures.

As for the Frontspange, I just accept it is post war, although authorized for wear.

In the collection I bought is the most wonderful Frontspange, marked St&L Ludenschied. It is either a pattern piece or an immediate post war strike. I have not seen another like it, and will post photos when I get back home. It fills a void that I would not have bothered to fill with a 1957 or later representative piece.

Bob, it most certainly fills the role as a spacefiller. I got mine years ago together with a few other 57's minis. It's die-struck with nice details, although the circle in the close-up isn't the raised type seen on St&L pieces, it resembles more of a ejection mark.

I don't think you'll ever find a U-Bootfrontspange as a miniature. I never laid my hands on a Schnellboot 2 Form 16mm, although I almost closed a deal with one of the Hamburg dealers years ago. The continueing search is half the fun . The 9mm version is not that scarce though.

Is there a 16mm version of the Blocade Runner? I have the large one and the 9mm version.

Bob, Messing has one illustrated in his book and one of the Hamburg dealers had one for sale recently. Although I wouldn't bet my life on either of these two sources, I can't see why there shouldn't be.

                        Hi Bob,
Here is my 16mm eboat 2nd model. Of course my pictures are taken with an older digital camera so they are not that sharp in detail. Trust me tho, the pin has great detail.
Peter, sorry I still haven't invested in a scanner

                        Sincerely Andy B.
