I just won this piece on eBay for what I consider a reasonable price.

I know that one was sold at auction few years ago for 100$.

Nevermind, this one is going to be part of my new display of full dress uniforms, and will serve great for that purpose. It will consist of German WW2, French WW1, Japanese WW2 and Yugoslav WW1 uniforms. I just adore full dress ones, they look too classy. That 4 are just the beginning ;-)

If you restore it to Imperial German rather than TR, you can simply use a standard large Kasierlich Marine button

That's also an option, of course, but first I have to try to decrypt the text on the label, maybe I'll be able to find out if it was TR or Imperial in original, so I'll do in accordance with that.

Anyway, I love this piece.

This is, just to note, my 20th piece of headgear!
